"Signs in the heavens." - What could they be?

The "signs" spoken of in the Bible give us little to go on.
Below are just a sample.

Lu:21:11: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilence's; and fearful sights
and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Lu:21:25: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress
of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Ac:2:19: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour
of smoke:
There are more passages than I have listed here, those you can look up in a Bible using a word search.

What would be those "signs" in the "heavens"? Just what could they consist of? First, just what are the
heavens? We can understand from the many texts that "heaven" is for the most part, anything over your head.
The tower of Babel was built trying to reach the heavens. They were stopped and the one language was split
into many. It was stated that man would try to force his way into the heavens. Some would say that launching
yourself into space on a rocket is pretty forceful.

The destruction we suspect is also very forceful that has taken place in our solar system.

Using space craft to photograph the surfaces of other planets and moons in our own solar system; what have
we found? Below are a few interesting photos we have seen. What we find interesting is the similarities between
signs of war on earth and the crater chain pictures. Another interesting possible sign is of resource harvesting
like we do here on earth. Strip mining, pit mining, and probably resource gathering by means we are only able
to comprehend the very idea of today.

Our atmosphere over our heads, the heavens that the birds fly in, have developed some interesting anomalous
aspects in recent decades. We are still researching the many new types of "rainbow" effects we are seeing in
the skies over earth. These aren't listed in the older science and text books. Yes scientists can understand what
causes these anomalous rainbow like effects, yet they do not comment that they are very recent atmospheric
developments.
