Research Summary for 2003, continued
4- Signs in the Earth Beneath
I- Luk 21:11 And great earthquakes
shall be in divers places
In the summer of 2000 using data available
from United States Geological Survey’s
Earthquake Hazard Program web site, http://wwwneic.cr.usgs.gov/neis/bulletin/,
the average
per day earthquake magnitude was 2.9. By the end
of 2000 the per day average was over
magnitude 3. This year in 2003 the per day average
magnitude was 5.2. What was more
interesting than the steady increase in magnitude but
also the steady increase in earthquake
occurrences. The 2003 earthquake record by USGS
showed an unusual trend of earthquakes
in the 4.4 magnitude and an unusual trend for earthquakes
to occur at a depth of 33 kilometers.
Scientist on December 10, 1961, near
Carlsbad, New Mexico were doing testing to compare
the seismic readings from kiloton explosions underground
to earthquake seismic readings.
The film clip titled "Post-Test" from U.S. Department
of Energy, National Nuclear Security
Administration, Nevada Support Facility web site illustrates
the interesting results of this
test called Project Gnome.

The scientist working on Project Gnome
found not only did a subsurface 3-kiloton explosion
result in a seismic reading but resulted in the creation
of a huge subsurface cavity 170 feet
high by 90 feet wide.
